You can’t escape the memories of Brockie and Bathurst just walking around an LJ Torana XU-1. Just sitting in the car takes you back to the heyday of motor racing in the early 1970s. The great battle of David and Goliath – Holden versus Ford and Moffat versus Brock. You can still see the XU-1s battling it out in the rain in 1972 and famously taking the Hardie Ferodo 500 Bathurst flag at the end of the day. Brock’s first of nine Bathurst wins and the legendary Torana that beat the great Falcon GTHO Phase 3.
